The Magnetar UDP800 is a versatile universal player, compatible with a wide array of standard disc and media formats including 4K UHD-BD, BD, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD, and CD-R/RW. It also supports USB external hard drives up to 16TB. Users can access these drives directly from computers or NAS over a local network using DLNA, SMB, or NFS protocols. This functionality extends to a variety of media file types like MKV, AVI, MP4, M2TS, WAV, FLAC, APE, MP3, DSD, etc., enabling easy playback and management of media files stored locally or on LAN devices.

MAGNETAR’s engineers have selected a custom 60W high-power, low-noise transformer for the UDP800. This is complemented by a two-stage filter design and Japanese Rubycon electrolytic capacitors, specifically selected to cater to the high transient response demands of surround sound systems and high-resolution audio. Additionally, a separate metal case is employed to reduce noise levels, thus enhancing stability and silence.
